Here's a Sneak Peek Into My Ultimate Guide & The Table of Contents

You'll also discover the secret sauce to my writing system

Hi Friend!

I want to share a sneak peak of my Ultimate Guide table of content and a snippet of what the inside of the guide looks like!

Why?

Because it may surprise you!

But before that, let me tell you a little story about me.

I had an unhealthy relationship with productivity.

Before I discovered Cal Newport's slow productivity philosophy a few years ago, for my whole adult working life, I drank the productivity culture koolaid of the late 1990s and the 2000s. Where it was all about the hustle and how to get more things done in less time and with less resources.

As a result, my idea of a productive life was about optimising my time & getting more and more things done.

Then a pandemic would sweep the world in 2020.

And it would tip me over the edge into mental overload and burnout (that was just waiting to happen I just didn’t know it), both in my day job as a hospital pharmacist and in my personal life.

It was the perfect storm. Being a health professional during the pandemic meant my day job was a constant pressure cooker. Couple this with the unhealthy mindset on what it means to be productive.

It was a one-way street to burnout.

My creativity and my mental, physical and emotional health suffered.

Why am I telling you this?

Because the writing system I created in Notion (called the Writer’s Hub OS) was born out of my urgent need to recover from burnout and get back into to my passion of writing & sharing insights with others but building in slow productivity principles in the system so that I don’t get stressed or overwhelmed while writing along side my 9 to 5.

I’ve been a Notion fan & superuser for the last 3+ years (in case I wasn’t obvious enough, I love using Notion and even got Notion certified!).

Over this time, I have gradually built out my Notion Slow Growth OS that incorporates Cal Newport’s slow productivity philosophy which has helped me slow down, rethink my approach to work & craft and find more balance in life.

The Writer’s Hub OS is just one component of my Notion Slow Growth OS.

I have since become a Slow Productivity Practitioner and have started to improve my relationship with productivity.

This mindset shift has helped me live a slower paced and more intentional life where I’m practicing sustainable and joyful productivity.

I have gained so much from this writing system and my practice of slow productivity that I felt compelled to share it with you.

This is why this ultimate guide exists.

Slow productivity is the secret sauce to this writing system.

Here's a sneak peak into what it looks like:
