Why Is Notion a Great Tool for Coaches and Consultants?

Notion is that flexible and super versatile.

It’s a tool that helps you keep track of everything important all in once place.

So you’re not distracted by tool-hopping and wondering where you should capture a task or piece of vital information for future reference.

It reduces the mental friction and decision fatigue you experience.

Notion’s mission to to becomes your highly customisable everything app to plan, write and organise.

There are a ton of features in Notion. But the most powerful has got to be databases (if you’re using just pages and not databases you’re really missing out).

Why databases?

So many reasons, but the biggest one of all is that it gives you the power to create custom views and build unique systems that work for you (not cookie cutter templates that don’t work for you).

This means you can create a distraction-free, focused digital workspace where you know exactly what you need to work on to move the needle in your business and life.

Here are just 48 examples of how you can use Notion to run your coaching or consulting business.

These are systems I’ve built for clients or personally use in my own business or life.

Working with clients

  1. Track client meeting notes.

  2. Track client company information.

  3. Track tasks and actions from client meetings.

  4. Document and share frequently asked questions with clients.

  5. Manage everything related to your client projects in one place.

  6. Capture and save testimonials from happy clients in one place.

  7. Capture and import client onboarding information directly into Notion.

  8. Track your client deliverables that are visible to both you and your clients.

  9. Use a calendar view to see past and upcoming client meetings and coaching sessions.

  10. Build a library of resources that you can easily update and give access to your clients in real time.

  11. A CRM to track your leads through your customer journey and record client information (e.g. contact details).

  12. Manage your client onboarding process inside Notion so you know exactly where each client is in their journey.
